CapOne and USAA have my utmost loyalty for said reason. Even when it was less than 6 months since my last CLI, I called EO at CapOne and had them look at my spending. CLI's came in 24 hours and was approved for my first Visa Signature.

Meanwhile, Discover and Amex tell me to go f*ck myself when I called for recons.

I have nothing but good things to say about Amex. They've been one of the most generous lenders I've had the pleasure of doing business with. I credit them a lot for helping me get to where I am today with my credit. Discover card is a great card and all but they are so conservative that ugh, especially compared to Chase and Amex for me.

Man, I wish Discover would give me a CLI. They gave me a measly $250 for my 6 month anniversary. I've had this card for two years now and I haven't gotten another one since, despite both my spending and income increasing.
AMEX BCE ($20,000), Citi Forward ($6,800), Discover IT ($5,250), BoA Travel Rewards ($1,800)

I'm just gonna come out and say it but Discover sucks. No offense to anyone who's had much better luck with them but the more I think about it, the more I'm starting to think that they're kinda overrated. If their card didn't have such great rewards, they'd be on par with how much I don't like Wells Fargo and they even gave me a higher starting limit on their student card when I still had it. Their card is going in the SD soon.

Wow. That's just a shame right there. Sorry to hear that.

I haven't gotten any increase from them, but I am using the card a little more.

It's also a joint account, so that may complicate things.

When I follow the CLI link, it says there's a problem doing it online and I'd need to call them. I may call before long.
Love: IHG, Platinum, Sallie Mae, AA Plat, CSP
Like: Discover, ED, BCE, Hyatt, Arrival, Freedom
Might drop: BrooksBros, Prestige (Costco PC?)
Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold
Letting new accounts cool off since May
Really not sure what I'll add next or when

I agree. I've given up on them and don't care anymore (applied last year and this year, multiple times). If you think I'm not good enough for some sh*tty $500 Discover It card, then you are wasting my time and I will give my money to other lenders.

Even when I was young, I remember some adults in my family saying Discover sucked and now I can completely agree.

Someone on MyFico was able to recon his denial and get in with them even with plenty of HPs though he also went onto say that they did two HPs and a SP.

I still can't even get a CLI from them. Amazing how they work.

I tried recon in September. All they said was, "Hey, well, you are approved for a card with a cosigner!", like I'm some kind of f*cking moron.

I see no point in calling them again.

Heard a Discover card commercial on news radio today where the main announcer said loudly and proudly that if you lose your Discover card, Discover would OVERNIGHT you a new replacement for FREE.

Then the fine print announcer at the end very quickly whispered that overnight shipping fees would apply.

I'm sorry? What was that?

I can't stand companies that choose to trick consumers with cow dung.

I'll never get a Discover card. You can take that to the bank.
Current Cards:
AmEx Platinum Charge: NPSL, $450 AF
AmEx Reserve Credit: $30K limit, $450 AF
Chase Slate Visa Credit: $32K limit, No AF
Future Strategy:
Near Term: Need a good MasterCard for places that won't accept AmEx or Visa
Long Term: Will downsize out of one or both current AmEx cards to reduce AFs
