2015 Bonus Category Calendar Teased

Postby Vattené » Tue Nov 04, 2014 7:38 pm

I just noticed that Discover released a teaser for the 2015 rotating calendar category. The categories look pretty similar to 2014, just arranged a bit differently. From the website:
  • Q1 Jan - Mar: "Gas & Ground Transportation"
  • Q2 Apr - Jun: "Food & Fun"
  • Q3 Jul - Sep: "Summer Spruce Up & More"
  • Q4 Oct - Dec: "Holiday Shopping & More"
I'm not sure what "ground transportation" means that doesn't include gas. I recall 2014 Q1 was food and movie theatres. I wonder if the "& fun" means or includes this again. I'm guessing "summer spruce up" is home improvement again? It looks like Q4 will stay the same. I never spend a ton on holiday shopping, but that is probably useful to a lot of people.

Thoughts?

Discover ground transportation: taxis, limos, shuttles; maybe car rental if you're lucky.

So maybe trains as well, hopefully bus and subway also counts.

Public transportation can be something significant if the costs pile up for months, but still not much like eating or shopping.
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.
