Annoys me a little bit since I cold apped this a couple mos ago and was approved with less favorable terms. Looks like we're getting the $50 CB for the Refer a friend each though.

Just saw it on another site today. I am about to have the card for 6 months.

Not sure about Discover's policy about having multiple cards, but I am not going to get another one anyway.
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.

Pretty sure you can't have two Discover It unless one is a Chrome.
And yes. I pulled it off MF, Lol. I'm still banned from posting there.

I didn't take time to visit myfico today yet, but what I saw was a link on a foreign website.
Sorry that you are still banned at mf... too bad how their mod(s) get to use banhammers when they simply FEEL not cool.

I've said my piece about them in my intro thread.
I'm currently awaiting a reprieve after getting through to 09L. I've however made it known that I'll be taking the majority of my contributions elsewhere due to not being appreciated for my merits and only being seen for my faults. :)

Back on topic though! Anyone else on this offer?

Well I would rather you take your contributions here anyway, Nixon. I used a link from CCF for a special $150 introductory bonus when I applied in February. I can't remember the spending requirement, though.

I applied for an Amex EveryDay a couple weeks ago and just missed their sweetening the introductory bonus to include a year of Amazon Prime (on top of the normal 10,000 MR points). I tried to see if they could do anything about it since I missed it by a matter of days, but no such luck.

AMEX seem to be real mamzers about changing a bonus over to make a customer happy, unlike Chase.

They're currently trying to deny the wife her 25K MR bonus on her new PRG after she met the spend same as I did.. We both applied Incognito, and I think where the problem lies is that I was instapproved for it, and her went for further review before they "Rush approved" her app and then sneakily didn't bother to let her know they were gonna bogart the bonus.

I don't understand how they can't honor the bonus if she qualified for it and went through an application linked to that bonus. Even if she had to call in and recon before getting approved, that is still offered to her when she applied...?

I get my case. It sucks that I came so close, but I still missed it and was never offered it before applying. It would be good customer service to work with a new customer like that, but they do have a justification. The experience soured me. After it took her a while to understand what I was asking she just came back with "I'm sorry the system won't allow me to do that." That's the level of customer service I would expect from (what I hear about) Capital One. What your wife is going through, on the other hand, just sounds outright dishonest.

Thus the reason I say Discover > AmEx. Today Discover upped my 3 month old card limit by 50%. After almost 4 years with AmEx I'm still stuck at the same limit. Bastards.

I must say I agree, albeit based on very limited experience. Every time I have interacted with a Discover CSR they have been extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They go to great lengths to make me feel like a valued customer. All companies say you're a valued customer, but I did not feel that from American Express. The CSR was nice, but it definitely felt like she was confined to a script. I don't think you should have to pay $450 a year to be treated like a valued customer and speak to someone with the leniency and expertise to handle your requests.

I'm still very happy with Amex so far, and I will give them my business. I just noticed a stark difference based on that.
