I know how you feel. I had a card years ago that I closed. I got a new one a year or so ago, and was told only one credit card per account. I had to create a whole new account just to look at my card. I can still login with the old account and look at my old card, and even go through the process of requesting a CLI! Discover is so backwards some times...
Main Cards:
Amex: Surpass
Chase: Hyatt

Sock drawer Cards:
Amex: HHonors, MB Plat
Chase: Amazon.com Rewards, Freedom
Citi: Macy's Amex, Simplicity, ThankYou
Citizens Bank: Cash Back Plus World
Discover: it
Elan: Bank Rewards
Synchrony: PayPal Extras

They didn't really push at all. I had the Open Road card for years, but eventually switched to the "It" chrome card because the rewards were better.

I don't like the look of the new card -- plastic made to look like brushed metal just looks cheesy. But the rewards are indeed better.

As for OP's question: I only have one Discover credit card, but I recently opened a Discover Savings account. When I did so, that savings account automatically showed up in my existing online portal. I didn't have to do anything to add it.

Did they require you use a different email address??! This doesn't make any sense. It's like they're saying "Use Discover Card once in your life and when you're done completely don't use us ever again!". Do they just not want customers coming back?

I was able to use the same email address, just a different login name to the site.

You will have to go directly to the product you want to apply for, fill in everything they need unlike a checking/savings account that has the ability to login and pre-fill information. This potentially forces users to create different logins for different cards, in my opinion.

Actually, I was a credit card-only Discover customer when they offered a promo on their savings accounts. I *was* able to use the same credentials for my Discover Credit Card and DiscoverBank: Under the username and password fields, I can choose "Credit Card" or "Bank Account". I can even flip back and forth. And yes, this is with the same login.

Just noticed today that when I select "bank account" from that drop down, they redundantly ask me again after logging in. But the options for both are there:
