I'd agree. I know someone who went bankrupt years ago and has gone broke buying tons of crap they had no business buying all over again.

So, despite the second chance, they've completely pissed it all away again. It's sad to see honestly.

  • Insufficient number satisfactory tradelines- 22 credit lines on my report- all with "paid as agreed" and zero lates. Actually no baddies of any kind.
  • Limited Credit experience- yeah nothing says inexperienced like two 23 yr old Amex's.
  • Number of inquiries- Okay this one I understand and this was a concern when I applied.

Even so, there were people with bankruptcies on their report who got 30k. I hope all those fico people with bankruptcies who got approved all max out their cards and disappear. May NASA CU go down in flames for all I care... roger, throttle up!

How incredibly lame of them. I'm also waiting to see how many of those people who had bankruptcies or even specifc baddies on their report get either AA or a CLD on those cards in the next few months. Congrats on getting approved for that Diners Club card though.

I really can't imagine maxing out a 30k limit card though and I think it would be crazy if someone seriously did that unless they already had the money up front to cover the costs.

That sucks you were declined Otter. The only potential bright side would be if it's another OCCU type debacle. I just don't trust these weird little credit unions and their flakiness. I'll stick to the big boys where generally what you see is what you get.

What did everyone think of the customer service? I was impressed when I called in with a few questions after being approved.

Same here. Very friendly and they understood exactly what I was asking. Reminds me of discover a little bit.

So is this card popular because everyone wants to hang out at not-necessarily-convenient airport lounges? Or does it have a sort of 'retro' appeal?

Has anyone had a card with BMO before?

I just pulled the trigger on the premier and was approved for 20k with a 748 TU fico (what everyone is saying they pull) and a 36k income listed.

I have been away from this forum and this hobby for a while now, and this is exciting. Going to research this!
