Discover CLI

Postby beckhsrules » Sun Sep 21, 2014 11:40 am

I went through the online portal and tried placing a CLI and for the first time I didnt get a message where they say that they will require to pull my credit report. But instead I got a message like they will get back to me in a week and once a decision is made I will get an email. But my account summary shows my credit limit as 2k which was the limit I requested for. Does this mean I got an CLI with a soft pull ?

Sounds like you got it. Good job. I requested one again on the chat today but didn't get it but will probably try again in two more months or so. The denial reason was mainly for new accounts.

Yeah, like pop said, you got it. Discover will tell you specifically if it needs to do a HP. Otherwise, it's a SP.

I have had my Discover Card for 5 years now. Started out at 2500 and am now up to 15500.00. I ask for CLIs every 6-8 months or so and have never been denied. It has always been a soft pull as well.
