Fico Score for Authorized User on Discover?

Postby onion » Wed Jul 16, 2014 3:56 pm

I couldn't really find a straight answer for this one... My fiancee got accepted for a $500 Discover Chrome student card with me as an authorized user. Will I get my own TU score with each statement, or will it just be her score on my card?

Thanks in advance.
FICO TU - 728 - 8/14
FICO EX - 716 - 7/14
FICO EQ - 740 - 7/14

Bank of America Cash Rewards - $2,400
Best Buy - $3,000
American Express Blue Cash Everyday - $8,000
American Express Everyday - $10,000
Discover It Chrome - $500 (AU on fiancée's card, helping her build credit)
American Express Platinum - NPSL
Barclaycard Arrival+ - $3,000
Capital One Yamacard - $11,000

You will not get your score as an authorized user. Just the main account holder that applied and got approved for the card will get the score.

I'm kind of late for this thread but here I go anyway.
Just In case you didn't know, your girlfriend could have added you as an authorized user by providing OR NOT providing your social security number to Discover.
If she provided your info to Discover, then they will report your history and your girls history to the bureaus and will appear in your report which will help your score.
I know this is not the answer you were seeking but you can find out your score for free with a free trial from a credit monitoring service.
For example I got my cousins score (plus score) not to long ago from Experian. Why did I used Experian? Because I have had 9 credit cards, currently 8, and 8 out of those 9 used Experian to pull my report (with the exception of Cap1, they pull all 3). Btw I'm from New Jersey.
Hope this help, if not you, someone else looking at this thread. Good luck!
1st. Express NEXT --------------$1,990
2nd.Cap1 Platinum MC ---------$3,250
3rd. Discover IT -------------------$5,600
4th. CSP Visa Signature --------$13,000
5th. Citi TY Pref World MC ------$5,900
6th. Freedom Visa Signature ---$7,900
7th. Amex Blue Cash Everyday-$18,000
8th. Barclays Arrival+ WEMC---$13,000
