Today someone made multiple purchases (mostly at the same places) on each of my two different bank cards (one debit, one credit, different banks). I never lost the cards! I'm trying to figure out how could this have been done to protect myself in the future.

If I were you I would be very concerned since YOU may be suspected of a false report of fraud, especially if your cards were used at a place you commonly charge at anyway. |

Are there any retailers you regularly use both of the cards at? Have you checked your other cards too? Perhaps a scamartist from one place was saving your info and decided to use them all on the same day before you canceled all the cards.

Sounds like an inside job to me. Maybe a wife, girlfriend, kid? They might have taken the cards outta your wallet and put them back. Don't put it past them, I totally would have doen that when I was a kid to my dad
