Exclamation possible credit card fraud

Helllo,

i would like to know what actions i need to take against an individual who used a credit card without authorization. let me give a brief background.

the charge amount is 4850.00

i hired a man to preform a service and i used my credit card and my fathers to pay for this service. something happened where some damages occurred and a law suit ensued. long story short, i went to small claims and lost the case. once the judgment was passed, the man who preformed the service went ahead and billed my father's CC for the damages. (my card expired since then)

now to make things a little more clear, the contract was in my name and not my fathers; in fact it was under my business name. so the man clearly went out of bounds to charge the CC. since then Chase has removed the charges from my father's CC and it has been cleared from his credit report. but it is clear that this man charged with out authorization.

my question is what can my father do? should he file a report with the police? make a report to the FTC? any advice is much appreciated.

To clarify, your father has received the money back? I would let the issue rest as long as the money has been refunded. He will get in trouble with his credit card merchant processor for the unauthorized charge.
