The player, Hornsby, charged up almost 70 fraudulent fill-ups at the gas station using a UF female classmate's gas card who died in a motorcycle crash months before.

He most likely received a lenient punishment since he was an athlete. In America it is only the sports stars and celebrities who never see the inside of jail cell.
