Default Guy in So-Cal arrested for a 100 grand credit card scam

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - William Hart, a 44 year-old Santa Clarita resident, was arrested by LAPD for suspicion of using fake credit cards to spend more than $100,000 at Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and Costco over the previous 24 months.

In Hart's Santa Clarita apartment they allegedly found over one thousand credit cards, in addition to equipment used to print and create credit cards, as well as various card readers, fake State of California birth certificates, and more

The police stated they have not encountered such a large scale operation during a search and seizure in over fifteen years.

1,000 fake credit cards?!?!?

One would think a crook would at least choose better stores than Sam's Club for their credit card scams.

It sounds like he was manufacturing credit cards and encoding them with real account info. Good to hear the nabbed him!
