Default Xbox Live credit card fraud, what should I do?

I just wanted to say that I know that this is all my fault for being so nice and trusting but im just wondering if there is anything i could do about it legally.

Basically a kid that i play xbox with a lot ran out of his subscription to xbox live and didnt have the money to buy more of it. So me being the caring person that i am let him borrow one of my old xbox live accounts that still had a month left on the subscription. I had no idea but when he recovered my old account that it would gave him my credit card info. He then bought numerous games and things from the xbox live marketplace using my credit card. Over the course of the last few weeks he spent just under $200. I had noticed a few charges here and there from microsoft but i had no idea where they were coming from. I just checked the purchase history of the account that i loaned him found out that it was him using my card.

Most of the purchases were from a few weeks ago but there was 2 big purchases last night. I dont think there is anything that I can do about the older purchases but in the morning im going to contact my bank and try to see if I can stop the payment on the purchases from last night some how.

So im just wondering what I can do about this?

If im posting this in the wrong place let me know where to post it.

There is no reason to treat Xbox Live credit card fraud any differently. If the purchases were made by an unauthorized user report him and his transactions to the card issuer. Do not feel bad for reporting a friend because a friend would not fraudulently con another out of $200.

My buddy had a bout of credit card fraud with his Xbox too! He had sold it and his credit info was stored that he forgot about. What he ended up doing was taking it up with the credit card because the Xbox service was of no help. After all was said and done he did get his money back but that was bec of his credit card.

If he was an unauthorized user on the account then I would say this is credit card fraud, too. Any update on this MMabduction and what type of credit card did this happen on?

It was my Visa debit card. I gave him access to my account, not knowing he would have access to my card while using the account. I filed a fraud dispute with my bank and was quickly declined.

"Based on the results of this investigation, including the documentation prepared as part of the investigation, we have concluded that the transactions in question were authorized. Access was given by you to your personal X-Box account to another person. This is considered a civil matter and should be handled with the person to whom you have the dispute against."

I think i'm just going to forget about it and just move forward, I really dont feel like dealing with all the troubles of a civil law suit for just $250. Iv learned my lesson and will not go out of my way to help others anymore.

That is total BS dude I would have kept fighting it. You gave him authorization to use your Xbox live and NOT permission to make new purchase with it
    OBAMA
    Stop talking crap about him!
