Help! CC co. says the signature is mine when it's not

Postby mousefai » Mon Jul 15, 2013 10:16 pm

Hi All,

I hoped you guys could me solve this problem.

There was a $,3000 unauthorized on my credit card previously. I have reported to chase as fraud charges. I have also signed the declaration of unauthorized charges as well.

Later, they called me and said those charges are valid base on the signature. They said the signature on the fraud sales slip matched with other of my slips.

I told them the charges aint mine and we were still working on it now

1st, do you think they can put the charges on me just because of a signature?

2nd, how accurate is signature analysis?

Yes.... this will be a tough battle especially if the goods purchased are something you may normally or historically have made.

I'd look to get legal help.....

This could get ugly.

If they already had your signature then forging it isn't so tough.

But this is likely to be a mess.

And that is why I don't sign the back of my cards.

But good luck- like the others said get legal help.
