I recently got back from Shanghai China, and had a situation where I was held captive until I agreed to sign a Chase credit card bill for an exorbitant amount ( a few thousand dollars! ), even though I had neither consumed nor ordered ANY drinks or ANYTHING else for that matter!
I was threatened, and held captive until I agreed. After signing, and being released, I contacted the Chase Card Services ( my CC card used ), and informed them what had happened, and told them I never agreed to ANY charge being made.
They said they would remove the charge, and send it to their "dispute department". Long story short...the charge is now back on my credit card, and they claim that since I "signed" the charge bill...there's nothing they can do! Is this correct?!
I reported the fraud within 4 hours of it occurring....said I was held and threatened, and they claim that once I signed, there was nothing more that can be done....!
