Master Card from BMO Harris

Long story short, someone has been spending $100~/month on my account for the past few months . I haven't noticed until recently and called the bank. They refunded me the money and everything.

What I want to know is will they go after this sucker for a meager $500? All the shopping was done on .ca websites so I'm assuming it was in Canada and I live in the states. Can't they just use the shipping info and catch the perp?

$500 credit card fraud hardly warrants involvment from the bank. What happens is that BMO issued a chargeback (asking merchants to refund the entire amount), and merchant either writes off loses or be reimbursed (if merchant signed up for chargeback insurance).

You can file a police report and hope that police will go after he/she. I said hope beacuse meager credit card fraud like this is not on their priority list.
