Hackers have stolen mine and probably thousands more credit cards from the Payment Method section of Facebook ads for business. I had 3 charges so far on my Amex for Facebook ads with a fake address. They were small, so I hadn't caught them. Look for small charges from Fabk or something similar.
In their infinite intelligence(tongue in cheek), when I tried to report it, they wrote back with:
Unfortunately, we are unable to assist you until you reply and attach a copy of one government-issued ID (ex: driver's license or passport) or two documents from an official organization. Together these documents must show your full name, photo, and date of birth.
Some examples of acceptable documents include:
- School or work ID
- Utility bill
- Marriage license
- Legal name change paperwork
- Credit card (with the number blacked out)
- Birth certificate
Question: after your credit card was stolen from them, would you EVER give them access to any of these?
