Wyndham sparked a lot of interest with its latest promo: Those who donated their entire Starwood rewards balances to charity would be eligible to receive 4X Wyndham points and a status match. The promo was to take place Oct. 11, 2016.
But Wyndham cancelled the promo the same day, citing “significant” fraud.
Already donated your Starpoints, hoping to take advantage of the promo (or just out of the goodness of your heart)? Here’s what to do:
According to a statement sent by a Wyndham spokesperson to CreditCardForum, those who already donated their Starpoints with the “best intentions” and who feel they’ve met all the promotion’s terms and conditions can send an email firstname.lastname@example.org.
“We know some had the best intentions, and we want to reward them with what they’ve earned,” the statement reads.
Wyndham has also pledged to donate 5 million Wyndham Rewards points to charity.
