Where is THIS option within web application?

Postby your-puppy » Wed Dec 12, 2012 4:10 pm

Hey all

I have just gotten myself AE card, also login to their web application works just fine but I am wondering if there is any way to send, within the application on http://www.americanexpress.com, payment to someone's bank account? I cannot see such option anywhere.

If yes, are there any restrictions, e.g. how much I could send or to which countries?

Thank you.

What you are asking is cash advance, that is taking cash out of your credit card. It is frawned by all lenders to do cash advances. You get to pay cash advance fee and cash advance interest at day 1. No way to avoid the interest or the fee.

In the case of AMEX, taking out cash advances is a sign of financial distress to AMEX, and can lead to adverse action from them.

Thank you for your reply but please reread my post. I don't find any match between what you said and what I typed. Was asking very simple and understandable question: Transfer from http://www.americanexpress.com (after logging in) to someone's bank account.

American Express uses direct merchants to pay people. You are asking for something like PopMoney or PayPal, which are different companies and business models.

Use either PopMoney or PayPal.
