    Default Upgrade to Business Platinum

I received an email from Amex offering me an upgrade to Business Platinum from my standard Business Gold card. I accepted the upgrade and they replied with an instant approval. But here's my question: They also said that I should receive my new Platinum card in about 7 days in a white envelope. Is that correct? I thought Amex sends their Platinum cards in a nice welcome package box. I also thought moving up to Platinum is a big deal (like the annual fee of $450) to them so the delivery would be in something other than a "white envelope". I was just curious because it really doesn't matter. I'm ecstatic with the upgrade. Wow! Finally made Platinum!!

I think there was discussion recently on this board about how the personal Platinum comes in a box with the whole welcome package thing while the business version just comes in an envelope.

UPDATE: I received my Business Platinum card last week. It came in a white envelope INSIDE a very nice welcome kit box. I've got to say the packaging was impressive.

My Business Platinum arrived in a UPS Next Day Air envelope. My card was unceremoniously crammed in with the terms and conditions and additional card benefits paperwork.

Not too impressed. The invitation application and booklet had better presentation.

Interesting. My Biz Plat came in the full box with glossy booklet, papers, etc.

My personal Plat came in a white envelope with nothing but terms and conditions. I think the big welcome kit is for new members, not upgrades. I got a nice welcoming package when I apped for my first charge card, which was the PRG.

    Congrats on the upgrade!
