About LinkBacksNew to the forum and glad to be here. Straight to my question, I applied and was approved for the Blue Cash Preferred earlier this year and have been using it almost exclusively for the last few months. However I feel I may have applied for the wrong card for my needs/desires and was wondering it AMEX would upgrade the card to one of their other revolving options or perhaps even a charge option. Any thoughts from the experienced?

American Express won't change a revolver to a charge card. You can request a product change to other similar credit cards.
You can also apply for a charge card, which would only use a soft pull and your existing AmEx history to determine eligibility.\\Eighteen year old looking to maximize credit, for myself and others.

You could get a different credit card from them, or maybe find a different bank would have what you're looking for.
You can downgrade your BCP to a BCE to avoid the annual fee.Credit cards from banks, deposits in credit unions.

Why would you want to PC from BCP to something else? As far as rewards go, it's their best card.

Because the AF can eat into your rewards if you don't spend enough. Someone else did the math comparing the BCP to BCE, and from what I saw the BCP was only really worth it for people that spent a lot on groceries.
