    Default Purchase Protection Question

    Hello all,

    I recently used the purchase protection feature of my gold delta amex. I purchased a sweater and two weeks later after one wash it was no longer able to be worn. I filed a claim but I do not have the receipt. Is this going to be an issue? thanks!

    Citi Forward Card for College Students--July 2011
    American Express Gold Delta Skymiles--June 2012

    Keep us posted on this one. I am not sure if this 'qualifies' although in principle it does. Wondering if they will end up blaming you as you contributed to the 'damage'.
    My PuertoRICAN EXpress card LOL.

    They should be able to get all the info from your statement w/out receipt. Keep us posted with updates.

    I checked the status of my claim this morning and it states closed. I haven't received an email about this. I was under the impression this was a valid claim.

    I have done Return Protection claims in the past and they never send emails, I usually just check my account and the credit is there.

    I should've checked my account before posting. I received a credit back for the sweater this morning! Insane how quick that was! Amex is awesome.
