Default How long for AmEx payments to process/post to account?

How long does it typically take for AmEx charges to post to my account? I'm a new ZYNC member, and charges from Friday still aren't up yet.

I'm only curious because I'm switching to a charge-only method of payment (PIF one bill per month, charge everything) and I'd like to be kept current on my balance.

    Thanks in advance!

your available credit should go down instantly when you make a charge, use that as a gauge if you don't see a post.

It may take a couple of days for charges to change from "Pending" to actual charges. Also payments should generally post by the next day, often same day with Amex.

Actually it will also depend on the merchant and the merchant bank. Some process charges immediately while others process in batches. When done in batches the processing could occur several days later in some cases.. That's usually just with small merchants though.

You can always keep track of things yourself!

I find it crazier when my airline fee reimbursement credit hits before the charge clears pending

Only a few days domestically. However, beware if you are working overseas. In Singapore, for instance, in can take seven days to clear a check/cheque, then three days to transfer funds to home country and post. Expats, please note.
