About LinkBacksMy friend sent me an AmEx eGiftcard. In the email, there is no card number anywhere. I clicked the activation link, entered the captcha code and it just sent me another email saying my card has been activated but still no 15 digit card number.
The giftcard customer service is useless because it just keeps telling me to enter my 15 digit card number which I don't have. I tried calling the general customer service but it keeps telling me to my account number and I don't even have an AmEx account.
What should I do?

I believe if you sit on hold long enough, a representative will get on the phone. When I call AMEX they can look me up by my ssn. I think the regular number is 1800THECARD. Every Amex card has a different customer service number.

I guess that's why at malls there's an American express booth so anybody that doesn't mind paying a service fee you can purchase a gift card. my cousin who lives in Maryland bought me 1. I used part of it at hooters 1 night, part of it at a local bar called Ireland's and another part at Ruby Tuesdays. I have a little bit left on it still.
