    Default got denied credit increase

My blue cash everyday card has a 1k limit got it 2 months ago, people said you can apply for in increase after 60 days so i tried, for 3k. Says too short history with amex not high enough credit score. guess ill have to wait 6 month's. I just want to have some more utilization. So far put 600 on it in 2 months but i pay almost as soon as i charge something.

Also i really want the preferred but i have a feeling i have to wait the full 13 months?

I have an American Express Clear card and never charged a penny but applied and was approved for 5000 more than my initial credit. So regardless of what you spend, they will grant you additional credit based on your credit and not your spending history.

What you need is to wait 61 days after the account was establish, call American Express for the date, this date is different from the date of approval. I applied before the 62 days and was denied as well but after 62 days, i was approved.

In the case you don't get approved, it may be a credit history / score issue and in this case, i will recommend you wait and re-apply after 6 months. Just double check the establish date and that is not the issue, in a matter of 6 months you will be golden.

About the 13 months wait, you are correct.

You cannot apply until you can confirm the exact opening date by calling American Express. 62 days after that day, you can apply and will get approved :-)

    Default increase

I have a blue cash, and have used the card for most of my daily expenses charged almost 60k this year. less than 2 years ago I had a $1300 credit limit this year they raised me 2k at a shot twice this past month I was up to $15,000 called and asked for another 10k. Instantly not even a hard pull was raised to total of 25k. Use the card as much as you can and the limits will rise.I also got over $1200 in cash back this year. 1252 transactions ytd and a little over 57k this year spent not sure if they like to see swipes.
