    Question Upgrading Green to Platinum?

    Hello,

This is my second attempt at posting, I hope I get it right this time.... What a great site! Wish I found it years ago...

Here's my story, I currently have a green card, business gold, and the Starwood preferred guest. I want to upgrade my green to the platinum card, what should my credit score be to be considered for the platinum? All of my FAKO scores are excellent and I've been approved for all the other cards no problem. The platinum is intimidating, but I want it. I travel a ton and would enjoy the perks...

    I appreciate your thoughts.

Hey, you already mentioned the magic words: "...I want it...", Go for it.

I agree with previous sentiments, with one caveat: do the cost/benefit analysis to make sure that the benefits are better than the $450 annual fee.
    Cards I Carry:

Visa: CitiForward Student (1k CL, 15.24%), Capital One Student Journey Rewards (.5k CL, 19.8%)
Discover: More Student (1k CL, 17.99% regular, current rate 1.9% through 3/6/12) (Primary card at this time)
AMEX: Blue Cash Everyday (2k CL, 21.25%)

You can request the upgrade if your account is over 13 months old. They had a 50K (worth over 450) bonus MRP that just ended for new application / member. You can always inquire for an upgrade bonus, which will come in handy to help cover your AF.

Keep us updated and best of luck.
