is there a limit to the amount of credit you can get? i mean, it's not like i can only go to one business, spend at least $10, and get a $10 credit, right? i can go to more than one?

It is a one-time deal, per card, per foursquare account. On another note, those who previously participated in the $25 Small Business Saturday deal are still able to participate in this.
Currently: American Express Green, American Express Zync, Chase Freedom Visa, Capital One Newcomers

that is correct. they create the spend $10 save $10 due to the popularity of the $25 small business saturday. i'm sure we will be seeing more offers within this foursquare and amex co-op.

I've done the $10 deal and you have to have your Amex loaded into Foursquare then 'sync' it up to the location you want to cash in on it. You are only allowed to get 1 $10 deal per card I believe. If someone knows differently then please share!

I saw this refreshed deal as of today as well (12/29/11). I would go ahead and assume you cannot redeem this deal if you had already redeemed the last 'spend $10, get $10 deal'.

It wouldn't hurt to check in to see if it works, if you were to eat/shop at a local establishment anyway. For anyone that does try this new offer, keep us updated!

I LOVE this promotion. Like, Link, Love and the Small Business Credits are fantastic. Link your AMEX Card on the Foursquare/Facebook page, then when you check in at somewhere, all you have to do is click "link card" (assuming the same account you registered online is logged in on the device you're checking in on), and you will receive the $10 off your entire purchase
