What about a new one between the Platinum and the Centurion? Gold and Platinum?
Maybe there is no need for anything new?

No need, IMO. Starters are serviced by Zync (and Green), rewards seekers are serviced by PRG, frequent travelers higher spenders are serviced by Platinum, and top tier spenders have Centurion.
The Centurion is already several thousand dollars per year in membership fees PLUS hundreds of thousands in spend to even be invited, so something even higher than that would probably cost more to administer than it could be worth to AMEX. And other than delusional people, who would pay for something even more expensive than the Centurion?
If anything, the Green card should be dropped altogether as it has been pretty much replaced with Zync as the new bottom tier, and doesn't offer much in the way of benefits to compete with the PRG or Gold.Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.
