Thread: Gold AMX additional card member..

My mom got a GOLD AMX and she added me as an additional card member. I am a AMX blue member since 2004. I am using my GOLD most of the time, and paying the balance full every month. How will AMX see that,? will they look at my moms account and assume that she is making the payment, or will they see that I am making the payments?

You are only an authorized user on the Amex Gold. Your mom is primary so she will get credit for the payments. The only way Amex would ever know that you were making the payment is if they for some reason needed to see a copy of a check or if they needed to call the bank regarding an electronic payment etc. and the payment account was in your name. Either way, Amex really wouldn't care as it is your mom who is responsible for the account.

It benefits you though, as you are getting a positive tradeline reported through the Amex Gold.
