Question Newbie here! Buying flight tickets online for my father...

    Hello everyone,
I'm new here... sorry if this is somewhere else already.
So my father is flying overseas next month and I want buy his tickets (JetBlue) with my Amex Gold to earn some points...
1-Do I have to give him the card in case they ask for it?
I've heard some airlines ask to prevent fraud...
2-If so, should I take him to the airport just in case?
3-If so, can that be a hassle when coming back?
Questions may sound stupid, but to be honest I don't know anything about this topic.
    Thank you.

    1) They will not ask for the card used to buy the tix. Simply print out a copy of the ticket that gets emailed.
    2) Not necessary
    3) No hassle at all. He checks in both ways using the code on the printout. Most airlines allow online check in 24 hours before departure.

The card displayed as your avatar is put there automatically based on your post count. You don't get to select which card is displayed.

You can, however, change your profile picture. Mine is the Tree of Life. That can be changed in your settings.

Heh. Everybody starts out with an Amex Green, once you post 25 times your card changes to Gold, at 50 Platinum and at 100 Centurian. Moderators have the Amex Red which is available only in the UK (I think) and supports AIDS research.

You can pay the tickets with your card, and ask to get the etickets send to your father's email account.

BTW, are you planning to by the tickets using AMEX travel services?
