    Default New Zync Card- Points?

    Hello guys

My wife was just approved today for an Amex Zync card. My question is, since we cannot log into the account yet cause we don't have the card yet, how many points does it take to acquire to get rewards( flight tickets, gift cards, etc.)? I've searched around the web but i can't find a definite answer.

    Thanks, in advance.

check out www.membershiprewards.com to do some window shopping. Just remember that Zync uses Membership Rewards Express. This is different than the Membership Rewards used on the Green, Gold, Gold Preferred Rewards and Platinum Cards. Membership Rewards Express is for Zync and Blue and is not nearly as good as regular MR.

I've used my AMEX Zync points to book a JetBlue flight. You can't transfer the points into airline points like you can with other AMEX cards.

    Points accrue at $1:1.

Points are worth $.01 each. Express (Zync) points are not transferable into other programs, and must be spent either on the Rewards website or the AMEX travel website.

If I never use my Membership Rewards First points from my Zync and later get a Green/Gold/Platinum card, are my points upgraded to the higher tier?

Yes. All of the points on the account are redeemable as points from the highest tier. If you have 50,000 MR Express points then get a Platinum, you can spend all points just as if you earned them with the Platinum card. The same is true if you downgrade from a Platinum to a Zync. All of the points would then be spendable at the Express level.

Membership Rewards First is for Platinum and Centurion card holders

Membership Rewards is the standard program (Gold, PR Gold, Green)

Membership Rewards Express is the Zync program
