Default Grandfathered original amex cash back changes

Just spoke with amex looks like there changing the the everyday spending bonus from 1.25% to 1.0% in Feb of 2012 for me so far this year I would have made $80.76 less, sadly my Bank of America Cash back is still at 1.25% makes me wonder if I should upgrade to a preferred and just use the card for the gas, grocery, and department store not sure if it's worth the aggravation of keeping track of two cards and monthly spending for a quarter of a percent.

How about changing the Amex to a Blue Cash for 3%-6% off groceries and change the Bofa to a 1-2-3% rewards Visa card for 3% off gas (+10% of the rewards if it is deposited into a Bofa bank account).

You could also get the Household Visa card for a flat 2% on everything else.

    Cool

If you missed out on the Household Bank card offer (I did), the new Capital One Cash card isn't a bad alternative: Capital One Cash

Effectively 1.5% on all "other" purchases. Hang onto the Blue Cash card still for gas, groceries, and drugstores though.
