Why do you have both a gold and a platinum?

There is the Centurion card. But what specifically are you looking for in terms of what they will offer you?

I have both since 2006, GPR for membership points, and Platinum for traveling.

I am not looking for anything specific, just wondering what can AMEX offers.

I would not go for the Centurion, they already offered to me, but i refuse to pay its AF.

They offer the new Mercedes-Benz Platinum. But by your handle it would seem you are a Toyota guy.

CC Deville, yeap, am i toyota guy.

Back to the MB - Platinum card, it only offers some benefits for MB owners or people who eventually will be buying or leasing a MB, but the other benefits are pretty much the same ones. that is not a real offer.

4runner what do you think the Delta reserve that card would be closest to the platinum. have you tried any of the hotel cards I heard theres a starwood prefered guest platinum card.

I really don't like credit cards link to any airline. I prefer to only use one or two credit cards for some purchases accordingly with my budget, and put the rest on the Platinum or GPR and get all those points that i can use later for what ever i want, airline miles, free hotels nights, pay with points, etc.

I have no opinion about Delta Reserve, i have not tried ever, so i don't know if its worth.

About hotel ones, i am thinking if i should apply for the SPG or not. But that is the reason of this thread, i am wondering is there is kind of offer/upgrade that AMEX will offer to a person like me, that already have 2 of the top 3 premium cards, and i am not talking about be invited for the centurion one.

they would probably give you a lower annual fee. I'm sure you would get upgrades at Sheraton hotels, not sure about Fairmounts, Ritz carltons. I would think Days Inns, Comfort Inns, Crowne Royal Plazas, these hotels with the cards you have, if you get the spg card you wouldn't have problems.

I would imagine you travel on business. What cards does your company want you to have?

My friend and accountant has this card and he loves it.

No, i don't travel too much for business, and when i have to, i use company's card.

I have both AMEX cards just for my own pleasure, and of course, to share it with my family.

I do use all the benefits from both cards when i have to travel for personal or business reason. But my personal cards don't pay for anything related with my work, unless there is written message from my manager saying he will reimburse any charge, otherwise, i use company's card.

LOL 4Runner, i think Amex should target you for the new Mercedes Card. Now that i have the Delta Reserve & approved for the Platinum card, i was thinking of the same question you asked. Just this past two months, i applied for the clear card, Delta reserve and the Platinum card, they approved me for all but i have a feeling I will only carry one card and that will be the platinum. I don't know much about the platinum card but last week while traveling to Europe with a friend, i was very impressed with the card, it was welcomed almost everywhere and that is why I applied.

But back to your question, I don’t think or don’t see any product that they offer to top what you already have, the good thing about the Reserve Card (my experience) is that it was commonly mistaken for the American Express black card. The centurion card is your next best bet but the fees involve just don’t make any sense at all.

You have the very best they have to offer.
