Thread: U.S. Amex Platinum vs Foreign Versions?

Is it my impression or the U.S. Amex Platinum card has less benefits compared with its similar in other countries/cities, like Hong Kong or Germany.

I mean, reading Amex webpage for differnent countries I found that their Platinum cards, have more or even better benefits than the U.S. one.

Do you have any feedback or comments on this?

I think it is time for Amex U.S. to bring new and better benefits to the Platinum. Even the new Platinum - Mercedes Benz have better benefits.

So the Platinum card is getting old or not exclusive anymore?

They have to compete with local and foreign banks in that country. I agree a new card is Due, i am suggesting the New American Express Plus Card with customizable rewards.
