    Default Rewards Question

I have a question that I can't really seem to nail down. I got the blue cash card back in Feb. of this year, so far I have put $48k through the card.Just wondering if Amex has another card that I could benefit more from, as far as rewards. I enjoy the 5% at gas stations and grocery stores, but honestly don't spend enough in those categories to really reep the full potential of those benefits.I was thinking of going for the Gold PR card, but the whole point thing confuses me.I also thought of the platinum, but can no way justify the annual fee.If any of you more experienced members can give me some thoughts I'd really appreciate it.I'm looking for a card that gives cash back or can redeem points for cash back. Thanks in advance.

I am willing to go and look through the Amex rewards system to help you. However, I would need to know more about your spending habits.

How much do you spend in each area that earns rewards? (ex. Travel, Gas, Entertainment, Restaurants)
Do you do a lot of traveling? (If you do which Airline? Do you participate in other reward programs for travelers? {Hilton Honers, Starwood})
Do you want the option to carry a balance?
Rough Credit history? (Excellent, Good, Average)
Are you interested in looking into Small Business Cards? (Plum)
What annual fee are you willing to pay?

There is a lot of information that people would need to know about you before they can recommend a card with real accuracy. There is no "magic card" for everyone. It is about how and where each of us spend money that should be considered for which credit cards we choose.

Sorry for being so vague. I manage a franchise auto parts store and mainly pay all of our vendors. No utilities, mainly just the vendors. No traveling, really don't carry a balance.Credit is fairly good I think. Maybe around 780 score. As far as annual fee,I'm fine with that as long as the cash back rewards are more than enough to cover it.Thanks in advance.

I would say the gold premier rewards if you don't mind paying 175.00 annual fee.

you can get some nice rewards on the green and the gold.

you can get some very nice gift cards using any premium card and look at it this way, you would have an executive credit card.

like you said the gold premier is the best but you have to remember the annual fee is 175.00 and with this card, whatever you charge you have to pay back in full, no interest.

For spending that doesn't fit into any categories you may wish to consider this: Fidelity Credit Card Review: Which One Is Best?
