Wink Does AMEX Business Plat. Employee Card report to bureaus?

So, if you've been following my other posts, I am new to the credit market, but my eventual goal is to acquire an American Express Centurion Card.

My father has a Business Platinum Card. I am an Authorized User, officially an "Authorized Account manager". As of yesterday, I also have my own Additional Card under the original account. Since my social was needed when acquiring the additional card, will my having the card report my father's good credit to the bureaus? When will FICO piggybacking occur, and how long will it take?

I checked my Experian today and it was 717...

    Thanks!

I asked my cousin in law this last thanksgiving because my dad had a green corporate card at 1 time. I was wondering since my dad was the vice president assuming he signed for that card, whose report does the green corporate card go on.

My cousin in law said only the owners are responsible, in case something happened.

so does your Father own the business? or is he a top executive?

I will tell you 2 things. you having a small business platinum will not go to your credit report since you are not the owner. you don't pay the bill the business pays the bill. if you wanted to get a personal platinum this would go on your credit report regardless who pays the bill, whether you pay American express directly and you have an expense account and you get reimbursed or the company directly pays American express.

I currently have a Green Amex Corporate for business expenses. The bill comes to me every month not the company. I have to submit expense reports to get my money back. This does not show as an account on my credit report. However, if I were to not pay it I am sure Amex would ding me and my company would "talk" to me.

I know it is not the card you were asking about, but it is a business charge card issued by Amex to me for the company.

If that is at me... I do not like or dislike the card. It is the one I use for the company. I did not choose it, I just use it based on the need.

If the business is set up with a Federal tax id it will not show up on an individual's credit report. My business credit, under a tax id goes to my Dunn & Bradstreet credit report. My personal social was used for the business credit initially, but if my business doesn't pay eventually it will come back to haunt my personal credit file. None of my employees credit is affected if the business does/does not pay, even though their social security numbers were used in issuing cards (additional I-9 verification). My American Express business charge card has never showed up on my personal credit report. So even for the owner of the company, business credit is kept separate, and reported separately.
