Default Whatever happened to your old American express card?

Blue and white and the Gold optima? for anybody back in the 90's if you had the old blue and white optima or gold optima, after your card expired what American express card did they give you?

As for me I applied for the gold optima and they gave me a lower level blue and white card. I was mad and I canceled it. most of the account managers don't know what card did take the place over the 2 old optima cards. just wondering what they gave you people?

Most of the Optimas were replaced with Blue. Believe it or not there are still a few Optima in circulation.

your correct mogul the platinum is still around. However a couple of reps told me the platinum optima isn't around anymore, however if you have the optima it might be that the card hasn't expired and once it does like you were saying you will get a blue card. plus if you go under membership rewards, the platinum is there but when you click on it, the card will come up blue.

like the chase cards when you had a grey, gold or platinum, once your card expired it turned blue. I guess it's the same thing with the optimas.
