Thread: My First Green AMEX (Australia)

There is the card that I applied for last night - I was told that my application is pending - let's hope that I get it! I have bank issued AMEX credit cards but I have always wanted a green AMEX charge card

Would AMEX take 10 days to do all it's checks? Would I be told via email if I am approved or declined?

I am tempted to do that ha ha. I might do it tomorrow . Hopefully I get the card, maybe they will send me out the Gold instead

Well, I rang up the call centre yesterday and they told me that I have been declined on my application. My credit must not be up to their high standards. The woman I spoke to on the phone suggested that I don't apply for any credit for 3 months and then try again.

Sorry to here you didn't pick up the amex green.... i can tell you here in the state I received a response by email after applying online for my amex blue.

Thanks, HipHop. I got a letter on Wednesday to say that I have been declined. I might try again next year after I have been at my employment and my address for longer.
