Default Which AmEx card(s) is right for me?

    hi all,
Recently got 3 new AMEX cards. I've always been a responsible CC user, and have never been informed about reward opportunities. Here's what I got.

AmEx Hilton Rewards Card. I stay at a Hilton family hotel sometimes 3 wks out of a month so the Hilton point accumulation I can maximize if pretty impressive.

Blue Cash Preferred. I was mixed on this one, but the groceries at 6% was tough to pass up, even with the annual fee.

Premier Rewards Gold Card. Honestly, I applied for this one because I thought it was the better one before I applied for the Blue Preferred. Now I'm just confused. I certainly don't need 3 active AMEX cards I wouldn't think.

Looking for opinions and thoughts from you guys.

    thanks so much,
    grey

Depends on what type of items you like to shop for.

Default Wanting an american express card but is it right for me?

hey guys, i am new (cant ya tell by the post? :P) but been lurking in here the whole month trying to debate what cards to get, maybe you guys can help me

i currently own a Visa Platinum Cashback Rewards Card, a navy federal Nreward and Nreward flagship card, i am looking for a change here is my monthly spending

    $330 for gas
    $350 groceries/eating out
    $650 for wireless, gas/electric, cables,condo fees
    $150 everything else
$1200 for mortgage (i realize i cant pay this with credit card or charge card)

i fly maybe 3-4 times a year and tickets run about 400 but no more then 450 each time

what do you guys think its the best for me? i personally dont care if i get points of cashback i'm just looking for a good Amex for my use, i will more then likely get rid of my Nreward card from navy federal.

    thanks a bunch!

assuming you travel on business and you have an expense account , your employer says you can use any personal credit card you want. the 3 you have are good. I will assume you stay at hiltons over sheratons. so your hilton card is very good.
But if you stay at royal crown plazas I would get the starwood preferd guest over the Hilton, My friend has this card.

what's the difference between the preferd blue and plain blue other than the annual fee?

the Gold rewards is a nice card I have seen people using it at costco, Neiman Marcus, Bagel boys and shoprite.
    congratulations on your gold.

Now if you don't travel on business why do you want a American express hilton honors card? if you don't travel wouldn't it be better to have cards like a Visa or Mastercard from your bank, if you want something more popular Citi has some nice cards, Hsbc, capitol 1

Another nice card for personal use would be Discover a wonderful card.
as for American Express I would suggest the Blue cash card no annual fee, cash back a lot of people have this.
I have the Green because I'm different I wanted a executives card So almost a year ago I got that one.
