    Default American Express Equinox discounts/benefits?

When I used to live up in San Fran my roommate had a platinum card *I think* that offered discounts at Equinox gym. What are the current benefits or perks that a cardmember can get and what cards offer it? I read that the platinum offers a free massage x1 and training sessions x5. Does the gold also offer Equinox benefits? Lastly my BF has the centurion and if the advantages of using that are a lot better I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem to setup my membership using his card.

Of course the centurion is better, the black card is very rare that your bf has. If I were you and he doesn't mind you using it, I'd just use that card. Has way more benefits as well.

This is surprising! Both offer similar benefits at Equinox.

Join Equinox with your Platinum or Centurion Card and receive the following exclusive benefits:

    Special membership pricing
    4 Personal Training sessions
1 50-minute Signature massage or facial (3 for Centurion)
Additional benefits throughout your first year

    Ongoing benefits after Year 1

2 Personal Training sessions with purchase of 6 or more
4 Personal Training sessions with purchase of 12 or more
6 Personal Training sessions with purchase of 24 or more
8 Personal Training sessions with purchase of 48 or more
2 Coupons for savings at The Shop
2 massages with purchase of a 10 pack of massages (Centurion only)
I go to the gym to exercise, not have a day at the spa with massages LOL. I suppose this means the platinum will work just as good for me.

Sure! It is on the Equinox website.http://www.equinox.com/classic/Join/...?card=platinum

I am curious to find out what the special membership pricing is. All 3 cards give it do you think it will be the same discount for each?

Googled around and found the "special membership pricing" is ~$125 - $145/month.

Regardless Equinox is out of my price range. Getting a 15% discount off spa service, (Gold PR holder) and possible initiation fee waiver does not warrant $125/month membership fee. Although I'm sure you will get blown away upon entering, taking the tour, and seeing all the amenities. I will stick with my cheapo $21.99/month Ballys membership thank you very much.
