Default Too many American Express disputes = card cancellation?

I purchase a lot of services through people offering services to market my websites. I occasionally get people who don't deliver and it seems like it's increasing.

So for the past 6 months, I've had about 5 Amex disputes.

Would American express get concerned if I dispute too many charges? Would they cancel my card if I had too many?

    Thanks

Jeez, I would hope they would cancel you and cut you off! If you have subcontractors that don't deliver then the appropriate solution is to hire an attorney to recover what you paid. That's not what the dispute process is designed for. You should also be doing better due diligence on your vendors.

I don't think it will result in a cancellation but generally as DH said, my guess would be the fewer disputes you file, the more seriously they will take them when you do actually file them.

I would presume that it would be illegal for a credit card to be canceled for fraud which is no fault of your own.
