Hello,

This is the first time I have heard of Credit Secure. I take it that this must be some credit monitoring service from American Express?
My take on those services is they are more often than not a big waste of money. What is the cost for this one?
You are correct, it is a credit monitoring service from amex. I decided to continue with FICO since most (if not all) other services provide PLUS scores or other third party scoring.
Don't pay for credit monitoring or for your credit score. Credit reports are free, and you can track your score for free on Kredit Karma and other sites, I'm sure. Also don't pay for credit insurance. All of these things are ways for the banks to boos revenue and are not needed by consumers.
CARDS (and why)
FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (best cash back excepting 5% cards), Fidelity Visa (spare)
Chase: Freedom (only for 5% reward categories, purchases under $10), Sapphire (not in use), Amazon Rewards (for Amazon purchases only)
CapitalOne: No Hassle Rewards (no foreign transaction fee, my only MasterCard, not in use)
Amex: Blue Cash Everyday (not in use)
Discover: More (only for 5% reward categories)
Disclosure: I am a moderator/paid staff of this site, which does have advertising relationships with some credit cards that are discussed. Regardless, anything I say is my honest opinion.
Current Cards: American Express: Blue Cash, Simply Cash Bank of America: WorldPoints Platinum Plus Chase: Amazon, British Airways, Cash Plus Rewards, Freedom, Ink Cash Citi: Thank You Premier, Dividend Platinum Select Discover: More
Primary Everyday Card: American Express Blue Cash
Primary Travel Card: Citi Thank You Premier
Good question. I see the only benefit is the credit monitoring from possible identity theft. Just recently found out that Plus Scores are not the exact same as FICO scores. Therefore, the scores provided are pretty much useless.
Just enrolled with TrustedID for all three FICO scores and monthly monitoring. At a cheaper rate to boot.
Will cancel my enrollment with Credit Secure.
Sounds like a good move luvbullmarkets. Report back how you like or dislike their service. We could use more reviews on here on credit monitoring services.

I'm debating whether to get this service or to get USAA credit monitor service.
I primarily want the ability to view my credit report periodically. You can only get 3 CR for free each year.
