Cashinout - this post makes me curious. Do you happen to know the exact department name you were speaking with? Which telephone number did you use to reach us? While I can't speak for another department, the fact that this representative was asking you to get your own credit report and send it to him heightens my concern. As you would probably assume, and as Experian already verified for you, we get a full credit report and don't need you to send one to us.
If I were in your position, I would recommend calling customer service via one of the numbers on the back of your cards and having the representative set up a case so that we can find out who you spoke with. I particularly do not like that he asked you to get a copy of your full report and to send it to him, and further stated that we only get very limited information.
After the case is set up, ask to be transferred to New Accounts - they're the ones who you can discuss your application with (up to 30 days from date of application, after which you must reapply).
