Don't you have it? Your signature says so.
BTW, Even my PRG came in a very nice package, not the usual envelope.

Yes, it comes in a nice book.

The Ameriprise Platinum card I got however just came in an envelope and I was pretty disappointed. I'll take the 5000 bonus points on $20K yearly spending over the book though.

Same here with the MB Platinum (albeit with the nice booklet explaining the perks like the PRG) but who knows, might see the packaging when I PC to a regular Platinum next year.

Do you know you can actually do it? I asked the lady on the phone about PCing to a normal Platinum card and she said it wasn't possible. She said the only thing I could do would be cancel the card and reapply. Member since '06 and Platinum holder since '11 so I'm not a new customer.

That's when I found out about the yearly bonus points with the Ameriprise card so I'd rather stick with this one. And unlike most of the other cobranded Platinum cards, this one only has a tiny Ameriprise logo on the back right corner. From the front it looks the same. Yearly fee is also the same too. The reason I got this version to begin with was I found a sign up link that waived the first years fee for Ameriprise customers. Waived fees for this card are near impossible to find. I'm not a customer but it still let me sign up and still waived the first year fee.

That is very true sir.
I'd get one right away if I'd have the first year fees waived.

You know what? I am not 100% sure about that..lol. I thought that I've read some people going from a MB Platinum to a regular one. I personally chose the MB just because of the points bonus but the Mercedes Benz extras does nothing for me, even if it is just a nominal $25 a year more. I guess I will just have to inquire about this right before I have to pay the AF.

Truthfully, I will all Platinum cards had a deal like that for the bonus points, but like most say, the Platinum is just for the perks. That why I just do all of my heavy spending on the PRG.
