How much info is included about flights in an AmEx statement?

Postby Tr1LL » Mon Mar 31, 2014 8:43 pm

Hi there guys,

I'm new to the forum, and I have a simple question that the customer service of AmExdo do not know how to answer. I am planning for a summer vacation for my wife and I, and I do not want her to find out where we are going. She always goes around and looks at the CC statements. I have a Blue Sky AmEx, the question is how much info is included in the statement? Does it show transaction source, date, and amount only? or does it include cities and flight date and passenger names as well?

Thanks you for your help in advance.

Also, would using my AmEx card via Paypal to do the airline transaction be a good replacement if the statement showed airline info?

I believe it shows the name of the ticketed passenger

What we see on our end are passengers, cities, ticket numbers, travel dates and price. I believe we actually put that on the statement as well though I wouldn't be able to confirm until tomorrow when I'm next in the office.

Thanks for getting that information, beef.stu! I've had severe Alzheimer's lately, so I naturally forgot to get this information while at the office.

So you purchased these directly through the carrier; I wonder what it lists if you use a third party like Expedia.

Chase: Freedom & UA Club USAA: Signature Visa & American Express
Discover it Bank of Hawaii Hawaiian Airlines WEMC Synchrony Sam's MC
Navy FCU Platinum Visa Citi Double Cash & AT&T Access MC
