[Product Update] Delta | Foreign Transaction Fee

Postby travisrauh » Fri Feb 14, 2014 11:52 pm

Hello my [soon to be globetrotting] Delta Cardmembers!

I'm excited to announce that starting May 1st, 2014, the Delta Gold, Platinum and Reserve cards will have the "Foreign Transaction Fee Waiver" feature added. For many of you, that 2.7% savings will add up fast - enjoy!

I don't have the Delta cards, but it's still exciting news nonetheless. Hopefully this might pave the way for more no FTF Amexes :D

Wow I'm sure American Express has managed to piss off foreign cardholders even more. In other countries the Platinum card isn't even free abroad! To make things worse here in the UK, while none of Amex's cards are free to use abroad, Lloyds Bank (One of our major banks) has an Amex networked card that is free to use abroad!!!
Amex UK Platinum Charge Card
Amex Blue Cash USA
Amex US Gold Corporate Card
World MasterCard Capital One UK (Free abroad + Cashback + Free Cash Withdrawals with no interest)
