Slight problem with AMEX cash preferred card

Hello folks, this is my first post here and it seems like a good place I can get some feedback from other card holders.

I've had the Blue Cash preferred card since April and it's great since I do quite a bit of grocery shopping and the main draw was the 6% at select US grocery stores. Every time a new statement came in I would scroll to the bottom and just kind of take note the reward dollars breakdown to see how I was doing. I was doing great and had a few hundred dollars in rewards section.

I just received my February bill and when I went down to the rewards breakdown it said that I had no qualified spending at US grocery stores for the month of January which I knew to be incorrect. I went back to my previous statements and it looked like that starting in December they starting putting my qualifying grocery purchases under the 1% section instead of the 6%. I had also only spend about $3K on groceries in the calendar year so I know I wasn't close to hitting the $6K cap.

I called up AMEX and after talking to two different representatives she told me that it appears as though they did code it wrong and that I wasn't the only person that it had happened to. She said management already knew about it and had been preparing to adjust peoples statements the next billing cycle. She did credit me some money back for the December purchases and said she re-coded my purchases from this month so they would fall under the grocery store category.

I was wondering if there was anyone else that has this card that's noticed something similar happen to them?

Whoa. Glad they noticed/admitted the mistake and are making the necessary adjustments.

Yeah I'm really glad that she said she would be able to fix it so quickly. I noticed this morning that she both increased the amount of my rewards dollars balance and also credited me directly. I haven't done the math yet to see if it works out.

I was still wondering if anyone else noticed any rewards issues with this card?
