First year with AMEX successful

Postby irvinfitness » Fri Feb 07, 2014 10:34 am

I opened my Blue Cash Everyday one year ago and they started me off with $2000 CL. At 61 days (approximately) I asked for $6k and it was approved. Around August they bumped it up to $8.4k as an auto CLI and I was surprised by that one.

I'm just shy of my one year mark, so I decided to ask for $12k and it was instantly approved. I suppose that means I could have asked for more, but oh well...I'm pleased with an increase from 2k to 12k in one year.

In another 3 months I'll probably ask for 15k to see what happens. 2013 was quite successful for me in terms of credit. Total limit has gone from roughly 12k to over 100k with this new increase. I definitely have a sense of security now. Looking to refinance the auto and mortgage in 2014 and I should be in prime position to do so.

Good, just a young AAOA (1.5 years or so).
My FICO when I applied was around 700 and my FICO today is 757. My AAOA is still <2 years because I opened some new accounts this year. I'm happy with my portfolio now though, so it should climb from here and hopefully the 800 range will be in the next 2-3 years or so.
