I've maxxed out my cards and quit my job so I was thinking it might be a good idea to declare BK. Would Amex approve if I ask for more credit so I can make a deposit on a retainer for a good BK attorney?

Thanks for any responses.

P.S. Do you think I can get an Amex black card after the BK?

I'm sure the next thing you know your accounts will be frozen! Do lawyers take credit cards?

Are you blocked from posting there CC?

No, not blocked. I never signed up and am just a lurker. I do not know if I was doing it correctly but when I did try to sign up they wanted my SSN etc (I guess for the FICO score). I didn't feel comfortable with that so I just lurked. I routinely get ticked off at Lexie; talk about a power hungry boss b*t*h! And I also get sick of the same questions being asked over and over again; someone will post on a old thread and get their behinds handed to them for resurrecting an old thread so they start it over again. Then there are the people like Bears and Turtles that are just stupid and you wish you could travel to Chicago to punch him/her in the face. Then there are others (well one really) that post their horrible experience with CSRs at various banks when in fact that person should be banned from credit forever (hint, he refers to his partner whom obviously has better credit than him all the time and I believe he is here sometimes). I could go on and on but it ticks me off the way the moderators will crucify someone for basically telling a poster to go f themselves for being an idiot when the original poster obviously deserved it.

I have to be political and play nice at work all day; the last thing I want to do is walk on eggshells on a credit card forum because someone (ie Lexie) has a power trip. I am sarcastic by nature and I have little tolerance for idiots so I know I would be banned in a heartbeat at that forum.

I'm like otter - banned. For life. But I've found it was a blessing in disguise.

LOL Yup that's him. I can't stand his rants about service reps. He must have 30 inquiries on each bureau.

Banned for life eh? LOL pathetic that they go that route!

Well ya know, when you don't buy into the gardening cult, and don't profusely kiss the behinds of the mod's pets on there, that's the sort of thing you can expect!
