I've noticed, with just a brief scan of some of their threads, that they routinely go on and on saying the same things with quite a few posts adding nothing new. They also get off subject pretty easily and tend to go on and on over subjects worth very little.
Gold American Express, since 1979,
back when it meant something.
And a few other cash back cards as well.

I've never looked over there. I find all the posts on here are entertaining enough and there's no way they could really live up to all the hype.

Oh but they do live up to the hype on FICO. This forum is great for useful information and entertainment, but FICO is pure entertainment. Meet the cast of characters:

  • 09Lexie and other assorted Mods/Community leaders- They don't care how rude or offensive you are as long as you follow "orthodox gardening". Dare to challenge the garden creed or insult CSR's located in Bangledesh and get burned at the stake.
  • BearsNTurtlesRTheBest The Ultimate FICO loser. Think of the dork in high school who asked out every girl in school even though he didn't have a chance with any of them. Bears and Turtles has applied for EVERY card on the market and has managed to get approved once (not including being AU on a care credit card).
  • Shopping cart trickstersThese people are the "esoteric" branch of the gardening cult. Their goal is to become one with Commenity bank by getting every single one of their cards via the shopping cart trick. Best of all, they don't get kicked out of the garden when they get their 80 $100 limit cards because they are all soft pulls.
  • Drunk Appers- Pretty self explanatory. It doesn't really count if you're drunk when you app, as long as you apply for at least 30 cards that night.
  • Kimmy- What's the best way to get a credit card from a credit union with no credit? Be a hot young 18 year old with your own porn website and walk into a credit union and flirt with one of the cu officers. Get your $5000 card and go to the next credit union.
  • "I'm rebuilding again" These self destructive people have been rebuilding for ten years.
  • "Will I be approved for..."- Come on now, people... you know you're going to app anyway, why are you asking if you should app?

These are just a few of the fun people on FICO... there's other people on there who are pretty entertaining. Some are actually pretty cool. I like Ron1 'cause he apparently doesn't follow the garden cult (or he must be a pretty bad garden cultist). What can you say about someone with 105+ cards? I wouldn't extend him credit, but it is pretty cool...

She actually sent me the url right before I became banned. And now I have become hard banned (after sending a private message to 09 asking to be reinstated in exchange for me pledging my complete and unwavering devotion to the garden cult. I even offered to drink the cyanide-laced kool-aid should our fearless leader request it). So I never really got a chance to go to her website and can't even look up my messages as they've even cut off my IP address to the forum. Bummer.

That timing sucks otter too bad you couldn't have at least gotten the URL. I wondered how some 18 year old got a 5k limit to start, I guess we know now.
