Approved for BCE!!

Postby Drudai » Mon Feb 03, 2014 3:37 pm

I decided to bite the bullet, since I've been wanting Amex for awhile, to complete my family. And holy crap I was approved instant! I covered my eyes while the little thing spun and spun saying please wait. And bam! You've been approved. I feel like dancing.

Bah, I attempted to and the wait time was 10+ minutes due to "heavy call volume". Probably from the site being down. Some how it let me in for the app though, so I'm content.

I'll call back in a couple of hours when business hours die off.

I'm really happy for you and excited to hear what your limit is. Be sure to pencil in the 61 days CLI on your calendar!

Welp, it's $2k, which honestly I was expecting $1k, so I'm very pleased.

I buttered up the App with transferring a small amount from my Chase to them, so maybe that's why. ;)

Either way it'll all be paid off in 2 weeks, now just to get my free Shop Runner. A little peeved I'm already in the middle of my Amazon Prime membership, so fingers crossed they'll let me use that credit to pay for next year.

Congratulations! Don't forget it will grow quickly, that 2k could be 6k in a couple of months if you treat it right.

Remember they base that off the last time you were softed, whenever that is, which behooves you to keep things very clean from now on.

Yeah, I plan on sitting on my hands, or good god, garden. The only thing within the next 5-6 years I'll need to app for credit wise is a car loan. I'm just content to finally be in Amex & have backdating, with decent rewards and no AF. Set up my alert for 61 days from now. Should I request the CLI at that time through the site or through CSR?
